For some reason or another, they decided to celebrate Saint Patrick's day for three months this Winter at the Wrigley Tower by making it a rather lurid green.
The red sky and green glowing buildings make for a rather forboding feel every night that I leave work.
Who needs filters when you have this?
A pretty impressive sun pillar out in Schaumburg at Woodfield Mall.
There was a severe frontal boundary passing through Chicago, with 50 mile an hour winds and near blizzard conditions. The Wrigley Building seemed more like some weird sci-fi horror movie set to me here.
Snow formed electrical sparks as the train starts moving out of Belmont station.
The just fallen snow was causing absolutely amazing sparks on the tracks as the 'L' accelerates away.
The station lights at Belmont are monochromatic, standing under them creates a very surreal lack of color. The camera definitely didn't like the singular intensity of the light on the snow.
The street I live on, after a decent snow fall.
The snow was fresh enough to look almost like frozen rain on the tree branches.*
The sodium lights in Chicago give everything this distinct orange color at night.
This photo came out exactly as I wanted it, I'm very happy with the results. The columns are a part of the new Millinium Park along Michigan Avenue.
