A rather pathetic Christmas manger scene, I came across it a couple of blocks away from my place. I'm personally fond of the mud and Santa Claus lording over everyone. Is this the true spirit of Christmas?

| A late night fire a few buildings down from my apartment, possibly set off by a strong thunderstorm that had just been through the area. A small crowd of my neighbors (most of them were from my building, including a couple who used to live in my place!) gathered to watch the firemen doing their business. The fire equipment made an amazing cacophany of beeps, bloops and ringing sounds.

| Sparks continue to shoot out of the upstairs window - when the fire was really going it shot flames 20 feet into the air and sounded exactly like fireworks.
